Fullscreen countdown timer

Give a classroom, meeting or event a countdown everyone can see. Start with a five-minute timer, or choose a target date and time. Customize the message, colors and ending screen in the editor.

How to use it

  1. Choose a duration or date

In Countdown or timer, choose Timer for a duration such as five minutes, or Countdown for a specific date and time.

  2. Place the countdown in your message

Keep {countdown} where you want the changing time to appear. Add a short heading such as Break ends in or Quiz time remaining.

  3. Set what happens at zero

Choose to freeze, hide the countdown or show a replacement message. Open the viewer when you are ready to start the duration timer.

Duration timers and shared deadlines

A duration timer starts when each device opens the display. Reloading restarts it. For several screens that must end at the same moment, choose a target date and time rather than sending a duration timer to each screen.

Use it in a classroom or meeting

Keep instructions brief so the remaining time stays prominent. Pick high-contrast colors and a straightforward font. A meeting-room screen can use 16:9 framing, while an unframed display fills the available browser area.

Frequently asked questions

Will every screen show the same countdown?

Use a target date and time for a shared deadline. Duration timers start independently on each device, and accurate deadlines also depend on device clocks.

Can I customize the message at zero?

Yes. Choose Show a message in the At zero setting and enter the ending text.

Can I hide the browser toolbar?

Open the viewer, then use your browser’s fullscreen controls where supported. The tool does not automatically request native fullscreen.
